BCECE for Class 12: how admission works and what to study
Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination
For a first-year B.Tech seat in Bihar you need a valid JEE Main score, because the state engineering counselling (UGEAC) runs on JEE Main rank. BCECEB, the board that conducts BCECE, runs the counselling and separate entrance tests for other programmes. Check the board notice for which test your course needs.
At a glance

Which exam you should prepare for
For B.Tech in Bihar, sit JEE Main and register for UGEAC counselling with your score. For any other course, read the BCECEB notice for that programme to see whether it needs a BCECE paper, because the board changes which streams use which test.
What to do now
- Confirm your target course first, then check the BCECEB notice for it.
- For B.Tech: prepare Class 11 and 12 Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for JEE Main.
- Register for JEE Main on time, since UGEAC cannot be applied for without a score.
- Follow the board site for UGEAC schedule and eligibility each year.
Concepts to revise first
Each is a one-minute animated lesson, in English and Hindi, with the exam-style answer written out. They cover the Class 11 and 12 ideas this route tests; CogniGuru does not have BCECE-specific question banks.
